Individual Psychotherapy

Although I see a wide range of individuals in my clinical practice, I have an interest and expertise in mood disorders (e.g., depression and anxiety), addictions (e.g., alcohol, drug, gambling addictions), trauma histories (e.g., sexual abuse, child abuse, domestic violence, etc.), and life transitions (college, relationship issues, career to motherhood,  parenting, divorce, illness, and aging).

Forensic Psychological Evaluation

I also provide forensic psychological evaluations, in criminal, juvenile, and civil matters.   Forensic evaluations refer to comprehensive psychological evaluations that intersect with the legal profession. In these matters, psychologists are called into legal proceedings to provide objective and comprehensive psychological evaluations and to give expert witness testimony on particular areas of psychology.

Consultation

I provide consultation with a  client who is seeing another therapist but would like specific assessment and feedback about a particular issue, such as a substance abuse evaluation. This kind of consultation will often involve several sessions. Following these meetings the client and their therapist are then provided with feedback and treatment recommendations.

I also provide consultations with other mental health professionals, or forensic consultations with attorneys.
